• Carroll’s song “Get Closer,” which was recorded by Linda Ronstadt, became a long-time advertising campaign for Close-Up toothpaste.
• A Washington, D.C. native, Carroll has received 21 Wammie Awards from the Washington Area Music Association, with six in 2008, including a win for Musician of the Year.
